The Tier Challenge is a game mode that brings more competition between the players! It is always available to play, and it is often required to unlock new tanks.
A Tier Challenge is a series of 10 battles, in which you need to win 8 to succeed. This means that if you lose 3 battle of a Tier Challenge, you instantly fail it and must start again from the beginning.
If you win the 8 matches required, you will receive a Challenge Medal, which allows you to purchase new Tank Tiers from the Garage.
Example: let's say that you currently have a Tier 5, and you want to unlock a new Tier 6 tank. You can't simply purchase a new Tier 6 tank since one of the requirements is to have a Tier 5 Challenge Medal - this means that you'll need to play and win the Tier 5 Challenge to progress. You'll need to head over to Battle > Challenge > Select the desired Tier and start playing!
👉 To participate in a Tier Challenge, you must have the Challenge Medal from the previous tier. For example, if you want to participate in the Tier 5 Challenge, you must have a Tier 4 Medal, which will require the Tier 3 Medal, and so on.
To start playing, you will need to equip a tank of the same tier as the challenge. If we continue with the Tier 5 Challenge example, you would need to equip a Tier 5 tank. Unlike some of the other modes, Tier Challenges will only pair you against other tanks from the same tier as yours, so you would only play against Tier 5 tanks in this example, regardless of player level and rank.
How does the entry fee work?
When you participate in a Challenge, the first entry is free. If you lose the Challenge or if you want to play it again, the next entry will cost diamonds, and the price will increase after each time you enter.
The entry will eventually be free again after some time, which allows you to focus on upgrading your tank and saving on better power-ups.
