You can have an unlimited number of War Machines accounts and easily swap between them while playing. That said, be aware that each account must be linked to a different recovery method (Google, Facebook, Apple, etc.), and you always have to switch between them to play with multiple War Machines accounts.
Switching between different accounts
To switch between accounts, please tap the Menu and open the game Settings. In there, you will find options to Login with the available recovery methods on your device - Google for Android and Game Center for iOS. Facebook works on both platforms.
By tapping Login in each recovery method, you can load a different progress, assuming that the recovery method is linked to a different account. So, if you have your current War Machines account linked to Facebook and tap to Login with Google, a pop-up will appear asking to switch accounts to load another progress. However, if the recovery method that you're trying to load is linked to the current account you're using, nothing will happen.
This means that if both your Facebook and Google/Apple accounts are linked to the same War Machines account, you will need to create another War Machines account (by reinstalling the game) and create a new recovery method account as well. From there, you can link your new War Machines account to your new recovery method, and then you can switch back to the previous account.
Switching between different Google accounts
- On your device, locate the War Machines app icon
- Tap and hold the icon until a pop-up appears
- In that menu, you’ll see the "Choose Profile" option, which you can select to switch between your accounts
- Launch War Machines, and you should be on the profile you selected
If the “Choose Profile” option doesn’t appear on your device, which can happen on older Android versions, you can still switch profiles by following the steps in this guide: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/14754238
Accounts and Characters
You can have multiple Characters within each account you own.
Think of your Account as a toolbox you carry, and your Characters are the specific tools inside. One is a hammer, one is a screwdriver, and one is a wrench. Each has its own specific job and purpose, but they are all part of the same toolbox and travel together wherever you go. In this scenario, you could switch to a different toolbox you own, but inside that other toolbox, you would have different tools (which would be other characters).
